Development of the Helicon™ engine was driven solely by our desire to achieve the perfect power delivery, regardless of displacement. 1125cc presented itself as the solution to achieving this. Working with BRP-Rotax®, a premier manufacturer of high-performance engines, the result is a lightweight, fast-revving, big-bore, short-stroke engine with broad and seamless power, hitting 146 hp. But what makes this engine so addictive is the torque curve. It’s virtually flat, topping out at a stunning 82 ft.lbs / 111 Nm.

Available on these models: SPORTBIKE 1125R STREET 1125CR |
-
COMPACT SIZE: The 72º angle creates a compact engine and allows for the right amount of weight to be distributed to the front of the bike for optimal handling.
-
6-SPEED TRANSMISSION WITH HVA: This 6-speed, close ratio transmission features smooth and precise action. The Hydraulic Vacuum Assist (HVA) Slipper-Action clutch eases clutch pull and limits back-torque during hard downshifts.
-
COUNTER BALANCING: Three counter-balancers minimise vibration across the rev range and virtually eliminate rocking-couple vibration. Their small size and light weight reduce rotating mass for better engine responsiveness.
-
INNOVATIVE VALVE TRAIN DESIGN: Featuring dual overhead cams, a self-adjusting hydraulic chain drive and magnesium valve covers, the valve train design is both lightweight and very compact. Actuated by F-1 racing-inspired finger followers, the valves are quick to open for improved throttle response and power delivery.
-
DDFI III AND 61mm THROTTLE BODIES: Our efficient, closed-loop system provides constant feedback to the ECU based on environment, resulting in smooth throttle operation. The large throttle bodies increase power delivery by providing better airflow and fuel atomisation.
-
INTEGRATED DRY SUMP AND OIL RESERVOIR: Located in the lower crankcase, the dry sump oil system contributes to mass centralisation by keeping fluids low. It also reduces weight by eliminating the need for an external oil reservoir.
